Please remember the PARC meeting this thursday the 13th.. I found an interesting article that I especially need to pay attention to. I also sometimes forget that radio is supposed to be fun... Hope to see you Thursday. JIM KD0S

Please note that most online contest calendars show our QSO party beginning at 0000Z Dec. 26th, or 6PM (central) on Christmas day. This is apparently an error according to the information I received from the organizers. Those that follow the incorrect schedule will be starting 12 hours early and ending 12 hours early. Please let those you work know that the regular online sources are incorrect and direct them to: http://www.w0blk.org/files/rules.pdf for the correct dates and contest rules.

As you know, the Pierre Amateur Radio Club meets for its annual meeting tomorrow night (Thursday). During that meeting officers will be elected for the upcoming year. A nominations committee consisting of Jim Z, Jim Ward and Tam are still looking for any nominees we may have overlooked. If you would like to run for any position please contact one of the nomination committee immediately. Be sure to attend the meeting whether or not you wish to run for a position. Your vote is needed to keep the club running.
Secondly, we will take orders for new club jackets at the meeting. This is the last opportunity you will have for a club-wide order. Doing the order together as a larger group will reduce your cost for a jacket. The cost of embroidery logo setup and shipping will need to be split between each of those ordering a jacket. If we can achieve a certain minimum order each of those costs will be waived by the jacket company. So if you ever want to get a new jacket, now would be the least cost time to do so. Come to the meeting to get all the details on the jackets and their cost and to place you order. Unfortunately the jackets will not be here in time to be under the Christmas tree but they will be here very shortly after. A gift card in the stocking indicating the recipient will be receiving a jacket will substitute for the jacket!! Right? Anyway, get your orders in. Please come to the meeting to get all the information. Bring your size requirement and your checkbook (yep, cash accepted) to the meeting. Jackets must be paid to be ordered.

As you know PARC elects its officers during the December meeting.
During our election process, nominations are made for the various positions and an officer is selected by a majority vote of the members.
