PARC Monthly Meeting

The regular PARC monthly business meeting will be held at 7:00 PM, the 2nd Thursday of every month at firestation #4 unless posted otherwise. Anyone is welcome to attend.

The BHARC annual amateur radio equipment flea market and auction will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Canyon Lake Senior Citizens' Center, 2900 Canyon Lake Drive, Rapid City. This is the same location that has been used, for the last several years.

Our January meeting took place last night with 13 in attendance at Fire Station #4. Rob Fines (Hughes County Emergency Manager) spoke to us regarding Weather Spotting for 2012. Below you will find the minutes for last nights meeting. At the February meeting Jim Z. will introduce the ICS 100, 200, 700 testing for certification.

	Hams Help in Thai Flooding; Ask for Clear Frequencies -	115 Reads

The Radio Amateur Society of Thailand (RAST) is asking amateurs around the world to keep open 7.060 to 7.063 MHz for emergency communications in the wake of the country's worst flooding in over 60 years.

PJ4E will be on six meters from approximately June 4th to June 19th. The frequency will be 50.103. There will be some HF operation, mainly RTTY but six meters will always be on the air.

I found Ed on 20 meters operating RTTY this morning.
